Frankenstein - Mary Shelley

a re-read. when reading books so distant a time from my own life i think learning about the life of the author and context in which it was written to be an essential part of consuming the art. there are many lenses through which one can read the novel (this is one of my favourite things about literature in general) such as considering the political and scientific thinking of the time. in this re-read i am focusing on how it was influenced by the female experience of 19th century
